Please scroll through this page to meet the ILV Committee for 2021. We are looking forward to making this a wonderful year for all ILV members, and we hope to get your input on what you are looking for in your membership. If you have an idea for a speaker for Coffee Morning, a discount provider, or an outing or activity, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are a current ILV member and interested in joining the ILV Committee, most of us are here on indefinite assignments so ILV occasionally has unexpected committee vacancies that need to be filled during the year.

You don’t have to speak or write perfect English to take these positions, and you will be provided with lots of help to get you started and as we carry on through the year.
Being on the ILV Committee is very rewarding, and is a great way to provide your valuable input for the benefit of all members. Don’t be afraid to ask a friend to nominate you, or to nominate yourself for the position you are interested in. The Committee wants YOU!

Hi, I’m Kelly from New Zealand. I am quite new to Vietnam, arriving in October 2021. I have spent more than 20 years of my life as an expat and love the friendships expat life can bring. I worked for a similar organisation in Jakarta for many years in various roles and realise volunteering is definitely the best way to meet people and learn new skills. With this posting to Vietnam, I plan to try as many new experiences as possible to meet people and have fun.

I am from the beautiful island of Mauritius, but have been living and working in Asia for 20 years. I love cooking, socializing and experiencing new things. This year, my husband and I celebrated our 10th years of expatriation in Vietnam. We enjoy every moment of our lives here and look forward to more amazing experiences to come. I recently joined the ILV and feel incredibly happy and lucky for meeting so many amazing ladies.

American, Vietnamese-born from the Midwest came to Vietnam in 2016. Recently learned to ride a motorbike (electric with pedals). Hope to ride from Thao Dien to D1 soon! Love to meet and connect with people from around the world. I love to work with numbers and problem solving.

Becky is in international sales and marketing, predominantly for fashion brands. She is also a trained yoga teacher and reiki practitioner! Mum to two university-aged young adults, this is her first overseas posting as an “empty-nester” and feels incredibly lucky that she found ILV, as it has given her the opportunity to work with so many amazing women.

Alicia is American from the Pacific Northwest region. She worked for a hospital in the Benefits Assistance Office and moved to Vietnam in November 2021. ILV has filled my life with wonderful and kind women who have helped me find essentials and experience this amazing country.

Vietnamese-born and educated in France, Sophia lived in USA for 30 years. During her sabbatical stay in Singapore, Sophia was part of FOM (Friends of the Museum) and was involved in various charity ventures. She is a volunteer at Point d’Ecoute, an initiative in liaison with the French Consulate, to assist French citizens in carrying out administrative procedures.

Sjoukje, from The Netherlands moved recently to Vietnam. She is used to an international environment. Loves to travel and adventure new things. While living abroad she learned how to quilt and later on taught quilting. Quilting is her passion which she loves to share with everyone that would like to learn.

Laure moved to Vietnam in December 2020. Born in Bordeaux in France is expatriate since 2000, almost 20 years living in Germany, Indian, Mexico and now Vietnam. Her working background is in International sales and marketing and travel agency. She loves to travel and discover new country and new cultures, loves cooking and all creative activities. She feels very lucky to be part of ILV group since her arrival and to have meet and socialize with so many lovely ladies.
