The ILV is a support group for expat women living in Ho Chi Minh City as well as for Vietnamese women. It is a great way to make friends, learn from each other and discover more about our host country, Vietnam.

Our membership is constantly changing but, as we come and go from all over the world, we bring with us a vast range of talents, interests and experiences. We celebrate our diversity, our time together (however long or brief) and the membership’s willingness to encourage and share with one another.

By visiting our website you have taken the first step to finding out more about the ILV group here in Ho Chi Minh City. We hope you find the information useful. We encourage you to join our vibrant organization of expatriate and local residents.

The Lotus blossom is a reminder that we too can rise from our chaotic and murky world to a pure and beautiful existence.

What ILV offers to members

There is a large selection of books available to borrow from our ILV Library located in An Phu and a very informative notice board displayed at Coffee Mornings offering a wealth of information about products and services in Saigon.

Members can place non-commercial advertisements here, for example to sell items, obtain services, or place/hire domestic employees.

A Guest Speaker or Demonstration will be arranged on a regular basis, addressing topics related to some aspect of life in HCMC or women's issues. Monthly Outings are organized to local places of interest.

Link Ladies are members, usually of the same nationality, who telephone and meet with our new members and welcome them to Vietnam.

New members are encouraged to attend a Special Newcomers' Coffee Morning arranged the first Wednesday of the month for all new members. This is an excellent opportunity to become better acquainted with other women and discuss their first weeks in Vietnam.

Thank you

ILV , a voluntary organisation, appreciates the hard work and commitment of the ladies who graciously share their time and talents with our group.   Most of our volunteers work quietly behind the scenes and from time to time we like to highlight individual contributions.  We also want to thank our members who enthusiastically support our activities.

 Weekly Coffee Morningand Evening ILV

Prospective members may join at Coffee Mornings or

  at Evening ILV

We enjoy a membership of over 400 ladies from 47 nations; attendance at the weekly Coffee Morning often exceeds 80. The Coffee Morning is currently held every Thursday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm (except on Vietnamese Public Holidays and special events such as the Christmas Lunch). Here newcomers meet up with others, exchange information and make friends.

The current entrance fee for the Coffee Morning is 100,000 VND which covers the cost of light refreshments. Door prizes are also given out at each gathering; a lucky number is given when you sign in at reception.

Please note: all attendees are expected to pay the admission charge regardless of how long they stay

Once a month we also have an Evening ILV meeting.  We welcome all ILV members and any ladies new to Saigon.  We hope you'll come for wine, coffee or tea, a chat and a chance at the door prize.  Check the Evening ILV web page for more details.
